The Town of Stratford will only accept waste that is generated within the Town of Stratford REFUSE, RECYCLING (INCLUDING CARDBOARD), LARGE ITEMS (INCLUDING APPLIANCES), METAL, BRUSH, YARD WASTE, AND USED MOTOR OIL MAY BE DELIVERED TO THE TRANSFER STATION. Major highways such as I-95, Route 8/25 and the Merritt Parkway bisect Stratford, and provide convenient access to the entire Northeast corridor. Most of the municipal offices are located within Town Hall at 2725 Main Street (directions). Appointments can be made starting March 17th 2025 by calling Stratford Department of Public Works at 203-385-4080 from 7:00 am to 3:00 pm Monday through Friday. Our primary goal is to help maintain the fiscal health of the Town of Stratford by ensuring timely collections through proper application of Connecticut State Statutes and local ordinances.
